12/14-12/15: Ann Arbor, MI/South Bend Indiana
Oh Michigan and Notre Dame. You all might hate each other, but we love you both. After some radio stuff Friday morning with our man George, we hung out in the lovely college town of Ann Arbor. I sat in a coffee shop and caught up on a lot of stuff, while the other guys each made their own flyer for the show and passed them out to see who’s got the best response. Eventually we played the show to a packed house, met a lot of great peeps and went to an all night pizza joint with Jon’s band. It was then that it literally started dumping snow. 4 inches and one near collision later, we made it to the hotel in one piece, snuck in and crashed hard.
Woke up at 1130 and checked out, drove to find a Kinko’s to pick up some supplies. Made it South Bend IN, home of Notre Dame and hung out at Ledgends the rest of the the evening, playing to a rousing crowd of college kids and hitting up the late night food place on campus with a few new friends later. Jon and his tour manager Willy J were kind enough to give us their hotel room, so we made it to the king suite (BOOYA) and finally slept.
